Labdanum resinoid is amber before amber became an abstraction: honeyed resin, old leather, dry tobacco and a faint animal warmth with formidable depth. It makes fleeting notes feel remembered long after they have left the air.

In perfumery vocabulary, Labdanum Resinoid is associated with honeyed amber, balsamic, leathery, tobacco-like, dry woody and animalic. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build found an amber accord, enrich anchor bergamot and vetiver and introduce give leather warmth. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
A resinoid is generally obtained by solvent extraction of dry botanical matter, gums, balsams or resins. It emphasises the low, enveloping register: balsamic warmth, texture and slow diffusion.
