In perfumery vocabulary, Mastic Absolute is associated with green resin, pine-like, lemony, terpenic, balsamic and dry herbal. Its creative role is an agile top-note instrument with vivid lift, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build add mediterranean resin lift, enrich brighten incense and introduce give colognes a green balsamic trail. As top note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
Absolute extraction preserves a broad, saturated portrait of the source. Traditionally, fragrant biomass is first solvent-extracted and the resulting concrete or resinoid is purified with alcohol, giving perfumers a dense material rich in less-volatile facets.
